| Catering: | Maestro Plus works with caterers that use washable linens, re-useable tableware, use local and seasonal products in their menus as much as possible, make conscious efforts to reduce the landfill waste they produce, donate excess food to charity and are environmentally responsible in their day to day business operations. | ||
| Décor: |
We believe that simple solutions, from working with a venue’s existing décor to replacing florals with candelbras that can be taken home at the end of the evening, contribute to more responsible events, as well as making your budget go further. Re-using, re-purposing and re-focusing on your event décor can create an ambiance that in addition to being environmentally friendly is innovative and memorable. | ||
| Transfers: |
We work with transfer companies that are actively working to reduce fuel consumption in their vehicles. We also suggest choosing activities and venues that require either no transfers or shorter transfers, that coaches not be left running while not in use, and that coaches be loaded to full capacity for more efficiency. | ||
| Being Carbon Neutral: |
Maestro Plus has developed programs with several local organisations to which contributions can be made to offset the effect of this meeting, from financial support for food baskets to tree planting in local parks. | ||
| Maestro Plus Office Policies: | We are very conscious of the impact every decision can have and the crucial importance of reducing, reusing and recycling. In addition to the policies already in place, we are continually developing new ways of being more responsible in order to reflect our values as well as those of our clients. | ||
